INTRODUCTION TO SHOTGUNWHAT IS THE TYPICAL RANGE OF A SHOTGUN?
A shotgun, also known as a scattergun, is a long gun or shoulder-fired weapon that fires shot shells instead of cartridges tipped with bullets. It is distinguished by its smooth bore, or barrel that doesn't have any rifling cut into it. They are built to fire low pressure shells. The walls of shotgun barrels are much thinner than rifle barrels. Most shotguns produced are pump action and rarely bolt action. Most shotguns are used for hunting animals. Most importantly, shotguns cannot blow up a whole building. Many movies and TV shows, depicts a scene whereas criminals uses shotguns to blow things up. Range is the distance between a projectile weapon and its target. The effective range of a typical shotgun is about 45 m.

I just picked up my first purchase from metal caliber.com. It was Western Auto Co Revelation 99, 22 caliber pistol. They stopped making these in the 60's. It was listed in Good Condition. I was checking out the pistol today and it is absolutely beautiful. It even came with a case for it, bottle opener and a coozie. I'm very happy with my first purchase thank you very much!!

GUN SAFE RULESABOUT GUN SAFETY
An essential part of your shooting range experience is learning gun safety rules. If you’re not yet familiar with these rules, don’t worry! metalcalibers.com will go over these in-depth and make sure you understand everything for a safe and exciting experience. We cover these safety rules, as well as the fundamentals of shooting below:
FUNDAMENTALS OF SHOOTING
The four fundamentals of shooting or marksmanship are the elements that soldiers are taught to use when entering the fire line. Each fundamental listed is important, but the importance is not based on where it falls in the list — it’s up to you to decide what is important and when. They are:
- Steady Position
- Aiming
- Breath Control
- Trigger Squeeze
- Stance or Platform
- Grip
- Draw / Presentation
- Sight Alignment and Sight Picture
- Follow Through
- Recovery

Firearm Safety Rules
When you’re shooting a gun at a shooting range, you must follow the five basic firearm safety rules at all times. They are put in place for your safety and the safety of others at the gun range, so they are not optional rules or loose guidelines. Failure to follow these safety rules will result in your shooting session ending immediately
- Always point your firearm in a safe direction.
- Treat your firearm as if it is loaded (even if you believe it’s not).
- Keep your trigger finger off the trigger until the moment you’re ready to fire.
- Be certain of your target, and know what’s in your line of fire and beyond the target before firing.
- Always wear the appropriate eye and ear protective gear when shooting or maintaining your gun.
